Actor Katie Rhoades plays Suzie in "Forgotten."

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Katie Rhoades moved to Minneapolis-St. Paul in 2002. She is currently a student majoring in Social Work at Metropolitan State University. Rhoades involvement in "Forgotten" was, in its own right, a form of divine fate: upon walking out of a meeting with friends she walked right into the middle of the "Forgotten" casting call. "I read the script and knew I had to audition," said Rhoades. "I work with victim's of prostitution and human trafficking, so the character was of special importance to me." Being a first-time actor working on "Forgotten" has given Rhoades a new appreciation of acting. "I hope to continue," says Rhoades.

"Forgotten'" is the fourth short film by 36-year-old Christopher Gegax, after "A Specialist in His Field" which was shown in festivals across the nation. A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Gegax has driven forklift in a warehouse, bussed tables, mowed lawns, washed cars, been a disc jockey, sold records, parked cars, and produced industrial videos, but he always had movies on the brain. A graduate of Minneapolis Community College's Filmmaking Program, in the early 90's he moved to Los Angeles and worked for a production company that produced EPK's for films like "Tango and Cash" and "Dolores Claiborne." Later he worked in development at Orion Pictures under Director David Anspaugh ("Hoosiers," "Rudy"). Gegax returned to the midwest to raise a family and launch Signal Pictures. He loves house music, runs regularly, and is a political junkie. Gegax lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughters.

Screenwriter Julie Meyer

Julie Meyer has written nine feature-length screenplays and two short films. Her work includes comedy, drama, and thriller scripts. She has been a member of the Minnesota Screenwriter's Workshop for five years and currently moderates a script group at the Hennepin Center for the Arts.

Born in Minneapolis and raised in a family of eight in Bloomington, Meyer has always had an intense passion for writing. In high school she was chosen out of more than six hundred students to represent Bloomington Kennedy in the NCTE writing competition. Meyer pursued and completed a degree in English from the University of St. Thomas, and continued to get her Master’s Degree in Education to teach English. In graduate school, she won an award for writing and producing a documentary video on her father’s stories from the WWII Pacific Theater. She has also taught literature, media literacy, and creative writing to high school students. She currently works in K-12 school administration.

Meyer lives in Richfield with her husband and two children.

Actor Marilyn Murray plays Sister Michael in "Forgotten."

Marilyn Murray has been acting for over 50 years, and is still going strong. Born in Kansas, Murray moved to St. Paul in 1961. She has appeared in more than 150 theatrical productions, and keeps busy with TV commercials, voice-work, and grandchildren.
