Christopher Gegax launched Signal Pictures in 1999. His vision was to create a company to develop and produce outstanding filmed entertainment.

A native of Burnsville, Minnesota, Gegax graduated from Minneapolis Community College's Filmmaking Program. In the early 90's he moved to Los Angeles and worked for R. B. Davies, Inc., where he worked on electronic press kits for films like Tango and Cash and Dolores Claiborne. Later he worked in development at Orion Pictures under Director David Anspaugh (Hoosiers, Rudy). In 1997 he began producing and directing  narrative short films, as well as industrial videos under his Signal Video Productions shingle. 

Gegax lives in Minneapolis with his wife and daughters.
